Welcome Car Dealers, Marketing Directors and Internet Sales Managers
I've been browsing craigslist looking for a first car, and I saw a 97 Subaru Legacy Outback for $1200. I looks good, but It has some problems.
It says "Just got a new timing belt because the old one broke while driving so there is possible valve damage in the engine but otherwise it's in wonderful shape."
Is this a bad idea? My Mechanic said it was a good deal if it's a non clearance engine, otherwise stay away from it. I don't know if that's true or not, but as far as I can tell it does not have a non clearance engine. Any advise would be great.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
